Licensing – Pattern Design Studio

We provide 3 types of licensing:

Standard;
Extended;
Premium.

Our Standard License allows your personal use of purchased design through the terms described below.

Our Extended License allows your commercial use of purchased design through the terms described below, i.e. the ability to use our design in items for resale.

Our Premium License, in addition to containing all usage rights in our Extended License, is removed from our website after you purchase it. So it is a special design just for you. All the elements in our pattern designs that we offer as Premium License have never been used and will never be used in other designs, that is, they are exclusive to you.

In these licensing page, “our” means Pattern Design Studio Ltd. (and “we” and “us” will be construed accordingly); “our designs” mean all designs on https://patterndesign.studio website and all of these designs are copyrighted by Pattern Design Studio Ltd. company and “you” means our customer or potential customer for products (and “your” will be construed accordingly).

Standard License

Subject to the restrictions described under Prohibited Uses below, the following are ‘Permitted Uses’ of design purchased from us:

Provided it is for personal use,

Including printed materials, product packaging, presentations, film and video presentations, invitations, advertising and promotional projects, including advertisements, catalogues, brochures, promotions;
School or university projects;
Social media post or profile image;
Decorative background on a personal computer or mobile device;
Online or electronic publications, including web pages, blogs, ebooks and videos.

Extended License

Our Extended license expands on our Standard License in the following ways:

Provided it is for commercial use,

Invitations, advertising and promotional projects, including printed materials, product packaging, presentations, film and video presentations, commercials, catalogues, brochures, promotional greeting cards and promotional postcards up to an unlimited number of prints;
Entertainment applications, such as books and book covers, magazines, newspapers, editorials, newsletters, and video, broadcast and theatrical presentations up to an unlimited number of prints;
Prints, posters (i.e. a hardcopy) and other reproductions for personal or promotional purposes, resale, license or other distribution up to an unlimited number of prints;
In themes, skins and other electronic software meant for resale.

Both our Standard License and Extended License allow you to use purchased design for a lifetime on unlimited projects, either personally or on behalf of your company. Purchased as a Standard License means your personal use only. Purchasing it as an Extended License means you can use it commercially on behalf of your company.

Premium License

Prohibited Uses

Post a copy of the our designs on a network server or web server for use by other users;
Sub-license, re-sell, rent, lend, assign, gift or otherwise transfer or distribute our designs or the rights granted under these terms;
Use any of our designs as part of a trade-mark, design-mark, trade-name, business name, service mark, or logo;
Remove any notice of copyright, trade-mark or other proprietary right from any place where it is on or embedded in our designs.
Use our designs in a fashion that is considered by us or under applicable law to be pornographic, obscene, immoral, infringing, defamatory or libelous in nature.
Use our designs in a manner that competes with our business including, but not limited to, displaying our designs in any format (including thumbnails) for download or Export on a website or offering our designs for sale;
Incorporate our designs in any product that results in a re-distribution or re-use of our designs or is otherwise made available in a manner such that a person can extract or access or reproduce our designs as an electronic file;
To the extent that source code is contained within the Stock Media, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of such source code;
Use or display our designs in an electronic format that enables it to be downloaded, exported or distributed via mobile devices or shared in any peer-to-peer or similar file sharing arrangement; or
Use or display our designs in such a manner that gives the impression that our designs were created by you or a person other than the copyright holder of our designs.

Please note that by purchasing a license to use the media on this site from us, you acknowledge that no transfer of copyright exists, and you are purchasing a license to use the media as per the terms set out in this agreement.
